Registration Open! 2020 AAAE Online Conference Series: 2020 Vision for Student Success
We are pleased to announce registration is now open for the 2020 AAAE Online Conference - 2020 Vision for Student Success! The full conference schedule and registration can be found HERE on the AAAE public-facing website.
Registration: We are excited to bring the AAAE event to you virtually, but the cancellation of the in-person conference has created a shortfall in the AAAE budget for FY20. We are still offering free registration to all, but ask you to consider making a contribution for registration, should your financial situation allow. You will see several registration options (including free registration) at the link I shared above. We welcome all to participate in the AAAE Conference, regardless of ability to pay. You can register for individual sessions or multiple sessions. Registration will be open throughout May and June, as we are offering sessions daily through both months.
Keynote: We will be kicking off the conference series on May 1 @ 12pm eastern with an online keynote led by Aaron Dworkin. Aaron will discuss the important role that diversity, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship play in society, as well as their associated value and impact in education. Aaron will also share strategies surrounding addressing COVID-19 challenges, core skillsets required for creative careers and the importance of staying relevant in the actively evolving landscape of the modern world.
Schedule: We have 49 sessions scheduled daily throughout the months of May and June, and we will move into our first scheduled conference session, directly following Aaron's keynote, at 1pm eastern on May 1.
Membership Meeting: You will notice on the conference schedule that the annual AAAE Membership meeting is scheduled for May 29 at 1pm. You will need to register for the conference (at any registration option) to be sent the Zoom password for attendance.
Tech: All you will need for conference session attendance is a screen and a stable internet connection. We ask you to tune in live to engage with the presenters and participate in interactive sessions, but most (if not all) sessions will be recorded and shared for later viewing. We are using the expanded Zoom Meeting feature (instead of Zoom Webinars) to maximize audience engagement.
We fully appreciate the many challenges of this unprecedented and unpredictable time that we are experiencing as a community. We hope you find the online conference to be of value, and we look forward to seeing many of you at the next in-person AAAE conference in 2021.
